How the Florida alligator tag process works.

Florida alligator hunts require an FWC-issued harvest permit and alligator tags. Each year, hunters must apply during the official application period for specific harvest units and hunting dates.

Once applications are submitted and permits are awarded, successful applicants receive harvest tags that allow them to legally harvest alligators within their assigned unit and season.
